Your Privacy Matters

Daily Walk is built on a simple principle: your spiritual life is between you and God. We designed this app with privacy at its core. By default, all data stays on your device. We run no analytics and show no advertisements. If you choose to enable the optional Cloud Sync feature, your data is securely stored on Google Firebase — but that choice is always yours.
Information We Collect
By default, Daily Walk does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. All data you enter — including devotional reflections, prayer entries, gratitude entries, and growth check-ins — is stored on your device using your browser's localStorage. If you enable Cloud Sync, you provide an email address to create an account, and your app data is transmitted to Google Firebase (Firestore) so you can access it across devices.
Data Storage & Privacy
Without Cloud Sync, your data never leaves your device. We run no analytics tracking and show no ads. If you enable Cloud Sync, your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under your authenticated account. Firebase data is protected by Google's security infrastructure. You can disable Cloud Sync and delete your cloud data at any time from the Settings page.
Data Backup & Export
Daily Walk provides a built-in export feature that allows you to download all your data as a JSON file. You can also import previously exported data to restore your information. This gives you full ownership and control over your data at all times.
Data Deletion
Local data can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or uninstalling the app. If you have enabled Cloud Sync, you can sign out and delete your cloud data from the Settings page. Once deleted, we do not retain any copies of your data.
Third-Party Services
Daily Walk uses the following third-party services solely for app functionality:
- •Google Firebase — used for optional Cloud Sync (Authentication and Firestore). Only active if you choose to create an account and enable sync. Data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
- •Google Fonts — to load the Inter and Lora typefaces. Google may collect basic usage data as described in their privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
Daily Walk does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. By default, all data is stored locally on the device. The optional Cloud Sync feature requires an email address to create an account — parents or guardians should supervise this process for minors.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Our core commitment to privacy-first, local-by-default data storage will not change.
